This wine is from the Cabi Vineyard located on Old Winery Road in Sonoma down the street from the oldest winery in California, founded by Count Agoston Haraszthy in 1857. The vineyard is an old creek bed with extremely cobbled soil surrounded by Eucalyptus trees. The vineyard was planted in 2002 with Clone 174 that is trained on bilateral cordons.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of plumeria - blossom essence, black cherry, caramel and high notes. This is a big syrah with flavors of black cherry, plum, nectarine and Chinese five spice. It finishes with a blood orange note. The 2006 Cabi Syrah is a bold, masculine wine with giant tannins. The color is deep ruby. Age worthy through 2016.
